Elastic and Google Cloud’s powerful partnership in 2025

We continued to deepen our work with Google Cloud throughout the year by delivering integrations with Vertex AI. Together, we can help you build innovative, scalable, and production-ready systems that run securely in the cloud. 

Elastic and Google Cloud are fundamentally integrated at the product level, allowing customers to build confidently at the forefront of AI innovation. Elastic is the first and only vendor to be natively integrated into Google Vertex AI's user interface (UI) and software development kit (SDK), acting as a dedicated grounding engine for Gemini prompts. This integration enables seamless, contextualized responses from Gemini, using Elastic's vector database capabilities for enterprise data.

As part of our partnership, we developed a new AI agent for Gemini Enterprise that supports the default Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol. This allows for conversational interactions with Elastic solutions and the creation of domain-specific custom agents for our joint customers. Developers benefit from Elastic’s AI agent for Gemini Enterprise, the Gemini CLI extension, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) Toolbox integration, which streamline the creation, deployment, and management of AI-powered applications on Google Cloud. 

In addition to these advancements, Elastic supports Gemini models as well as Vertex AI's embeddings and reranking models natively in its inference API and vector database. This integration is also reflected in Elastic's Security and Observability solutions with Gemini powering all AI-related features, such as Elastic AI Assistant and Elastic Attack Discovery. We have become the customer-preferred solution for monitoring usage and performance of large language models (LLMs) and AI models on Vertex AI with dedicated observability integration and full OpenTelemetry (OTel) support. Together, we provide comprehensive tools for your entire AI application lifecycle from data ingestion to conversation generation and from monitoring to automating daily operations.

Through our collaborative partnership in 2025, we accelerate business transformation by equipping you to build a robust data analytics and search platform. Elastic serves as a high-performance search and real-time analytics layer on top of Google Cloud's Data & Analytics suite, using dedicated integrations for both consumer services like Gmail, GDrive and enterprise services, including PubSub, Compute Engine, GKE, Vertex, and BigQuery. The use of native integrations, such as Dataflow templates, hundreds of dedicated ingest pipelines via the Elastic Agent, and console integrations with Vertex, significantly streamlines deployments of Elastic on Google Cloud.

As the world's most widely deployed vector database, Elastic seamlessly integrates with Google Cloud's AI ecosystem, supporting vector creation and ranking through Vertex AI's embedding and reranking models — all configurable directly within Elastic's inference API. This deep product alignment simplifies the development of AI-powered applications, allowing you to extract actionable insights from data, reduce manual efforts, and focus on accelerating innovation.

As partners, we provide a unified and scalable security platform that enables you to build resilient defenses against emerging threats. A key aspect of this partnership is the deep integration of Elastic Security with essential Google Cloud services. This includes seamless integration with the Security Command Center (SCC) to ingest findings, assets, and audit logs, thereby providing comprehensive SIEM capabilities, threat prevention, and cloud security posture management. Additionally, Elastic uses Mandiant and Google Threat Intelligence (GTI) to operationalize timely threat intelligence. 

Our solution is further enhanced by AI-powered security analytics through the Elastic AI Assistant for Security and Attack Discovery, which securely uses Gemini and Elastic vector search capabilities to accelerate triage, investigation, and response. This integrated approach, which includes native data ingestion and endpoint protection via tools like Dataflow and the Elastic Agent, enables security analysts to unify security data, automate defenses, and achieve near real-time threat detection across cloud, multicloud, and hybrid environments. 

Notably, for air-gapped sovereign environments, Elastic is available on Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) workloads and marketplace to provide search, observability and security solutions wherever your data lives, even on-prem or air-gapped. Additionally, for customers running their cloud security operations on Google SecOps, we now offer a native add-on called Elastic’s AI SOC Engine (EASE) that uses its AI-powered (and Gemini-powered) alert investigation features.

We offer our comprehensive suite of SaaS solutions available across 20+ Google Cloud regions via Google Cloud Marketplace. Our deep integration simplifies the user experience through direct onboarding, unified billing, and dedicated product integrations. Further, we were one of the first vendors to release AI agents on the Google Cloud AI Agent Marketplace for consumption via Gemini Enterprise.

In 2025, the Elastic and Google Cloud partnership went global, connecting with developers and leaders through a dynamic series of in-person and virtual experiences. From the mainstage at Elastic{ON} and Google Cloud NEXT ‘25 to regional summits, we showcased how our joint solutions are helping you power the next generation of GenAI. 

Highlights included our global GenAI Roadshow, which brought hands-on technical sessions to key cities worldwide, as well as unique community experiences like engagements at the US Open and a Boston Red Sox baseball game. Whether virtually or in person, 2025 proved that when Elastic and Google Cloud collaborate, we don't just talk about innovation; we build it with our customers.

Another focus this year was the launch of Elastic Cloud Serverless on Google Cloud and the corresponding availability on Google Cloud Marketplace. Serverless is a fully managed, stateless architecture that scales automatically regardless of your data, usage, and performance needs. 

Built on the industry-first Search AI Lake architecture, it gives you the full power of Elasticsearch without needing to handle ops, upgrades, or tuning. You can launch it quickly and tap into the latest features for retrieval augmented generation (RAG), threat hunting, logging, and beyond. 

We expanded regional coverage initially to Belgium and Mumbai, then across the US and finally throughout Europe and Asia. This expansion brings our total Google Cloud regions for serverless to 10 worldwide, strengthening our footprint to meet your global needs.
